Maybe life shakes us all, until we take notice of what it’s trying to tell us. And maybe we ignore it until we can’t anymore. Until the shaking becomes too strong, and life faces us in no uncertain terms with its demand. The experience of falling to one’s knees can change everything.
‘… it’s almost like I’m some kind of Doubting Thomas and there’s a force there that’s trying to show me the way. It very powerful. It’s extremely powerful. It’s saying do not be afraid.’
This is a film about the depths of a journey through cancer, from my early years with the camera. Lee had seen my very first films and called in appreciation and to tell me of his very personal and challenging experience, albeit reluctantly. Within a week I was sitting in the stillness of his living room. With the Inner View camera and no questions, just an undivided and so still attention.
This is what then happened. Tiverton, Devon. England. January 2006.
The Point At Which You Fall
There is a point
at which you fall.
A point at which
life itself
beckons you
to set down
the irrelevant.
A point at which
stillness draws
your attention to
uncommon depth.
And a life
that could be,
makes itself
known.
Fall.
It is the point.
Personal Interior Expedition
Take a Personal Interior Expedition into consciousness over three days. The Camera + You + Me. A profound uncovering of who you are and what you must now do. As a contribution to a world that needs to change. You have a part to play, and an original voice that’s not yet been spoken out loud. This may already be clear. Realization not transformation. A point from which everything shifts. It is different.
